I come from a world of aggression. Football was played violently and at times with ill-intent. I was that boy with too much energy that was kicked out of three preschools alongwith my brother, who was 15 months older, three times before the age of five. Currently I’m raising boys with a massive amount of energy that get aggressive towards one another. So, naturally, we bought ourselves a heavy bag. The boys can go out to the garage and wail away on it when they are feeling frustrated (i.e. like fighting their brother). I can also go out there when the frustration mounts and take my turn burning some energy off. By the way, it’s a quick and simple, yet effective workout.
Chuck Norris Anger Management
10 rounds of 10 high kicks with each leg.
1 set of 10 with left leg forward and right high kick 10 times consecutively.
Switch stances. Repeat high kick with left leg.
Do this for 10 sets.
Don’t stop between reps or sets. Continue kicking at about 3/4 intensity as high as you can comfortably. Return the leg with control to the ground and bring it up as fast as you can under control.
You should have a light sweat broke and be lightly panting in under 10 minutes of work.
It’s a good calorie burn and a good aggression burn-off for both parents and kids.
Apply as needed.
